I’m so happy to see how fashion styles have evolved in Nigeria especially among the youth and young adults. There are seasons and times where the Y2K aesthetic comes back into fashion so it’s almost as we fashion is recycled but then again there are also seasons and times where new trends emerge.
It’s quite fascinating considering the level of freedom and self acceptance one has to go through in order to be brave enough to wear what you want. I mean, Nigerian parents, aunts and uncles can be quite judgmental and that could cause a lot of resistance when you want to try new Fashion trends or explore your own.
